sore arm

My right arm hurts from the vaccine I got today. It is not that bad but it is really sore and I feel a bit crippled.
I am in our bed now with tons of books surrounding me. I have one more essay to do before I'm ready to start packing, and I am assuming that it will be done on Wednesday morning at 6-7am (after a long sleepless night) because I always write better during the night when I can be undisturbed and stay focused. Generalyl my brain just functions better.

Got my grade for my previous essay today, and it was a good grade. That has motivated me to start working!

Well, I am not sure whether I will be writing much more here before we are in Thailand. I am hoping to keep posting while we're down there if I find a ncie place to write.

If not, Merry Christmas to all of you!!!

Sunbites and garlic

Everytime either of us (M or A) starts feeling like a flu is coming Andreas will eat at least 1 clove of raw garlic cut into small pieces. It is supposed to kill the bacterias, but it jsut taste absolutely awful! Sometimes I even get a stomach ache.
Well since we've both been a bit drowsy lately we've jsut had our portion. He eats it on its own with a glass of water to help him swallow it down, but I need something else as well not to get a headache so I'm chewing on a bag of Sunbites (the new flavour - sweet chili) to avoid the itching on my tongue.

These are my favourite crisps because they're not made of potatoes but whoelgrain from corn, wheat and oat. Anyone who knows Andreas will know that whenever we are in Sweden he will want to have lösgodis (pick and mix candy) and chips with dip. But potatoe chips will seriosuly make you feel sick afterwards. So while Andreas eats his Cheese and Onion McCoy's I can sit and pretend to be healthy :).

I took another picture of the new haircut since yesterdays was so dark:

Hair cut

Today both me and Andreas got our hair cut. Andreas got his a bit shorter but as usual. It will be nice in Thailand to have shorter hair and for him especially so he doesn't get a white line in the neck, from the tan.

I haven't cut my hair in a long time. Saved it for the wedding, but it needed to get shortened. So nice now it feels all soft and healthy again. Unfortunately my hair grows very slowly, so it will take a while to get it back out, but I like the new length. perfect for a pony tail.

Before and After

this is getting extremely boring

I'm back in bed and more reading now on brands for my marketing essay. I am hoping to finish reading sometime tonight so that I can start writing on Sunday and hopefully finish it Monday evening so that I can spend Tuesday packing. I wish I had another Red Bull.

Here is some entertainment for you:

Happy Birthday Colin

Yesterday we went to celebrate Colin's (Andreas' colleague) birthday together with his wife and son at the Peacock Farm in Bracknell, a new Pub with really cosy interiors. I had haddock pie with fries and sallad, and for dessert chocolate brownies with vanilla ice cream. (I know shame on me)

It was nice to go out and eat, but this season is horrible (with all the food) for the body, which is soon about to be exposed in Thailand. It is really hard to balance Christmas food against Bikini Body (not that I've ever had one, but as it is right now I'm not sure I even want to lie on the beach haha).

When we got back home I had a Red Bull and stayed up reading until 4.30am. Slept in today to noon so I think I got at least 7h sleep, which isn't soo bad. And now I am back to studying. But for some reason it is always hard for me to study during the day. I am always better at focusing during night time. During the day I just fiddle around constantly, and generally can't focus. A waste of time. But now it feels like I'm finally in the right direction again.

Started having a sore throat last monday, adn can still feel it, so I've been eating Esberitox, drinking lemon tea wiht honey, and stuffing my self with throat lozenges. I DO NOT WANT TO GET SICK NOW! I just cannot be sick when we're going to Thailand... Nevertheless this is the season. Last year at this time both me and Andreas we're both coughing and in bed for weeks. It was horrible. I just pray that won't happen this year.

I got an appointment with the doctor, and will be getting a vaccine against Hepatitis A and typhoid this Monday, hopefully. Unfortuantely I do not have my medical record so I do not even know what injections I've gotten so far. That's what moving 8 times to different coutnries do to your medical record. Apparently I wasn't even registered with the doctor. Which I found funny because I've been in the country now for 5 years almost and they did not even have a record of me. But I guess That's because I've been a healthy girl, so far at least :)

I hate needles. I can't stand them. I'm not sure why, because I do not mind wounds, or blood, but when the needle penetrates the skin something happens in my brain, and I almost feel like fainting each time. I actually went to give blood once, beacuse I think it's extremely important to do so since it can mean life or death to some one else if there's not enough blood, but I almost fainted in the chair, and felt dizzy the rest of the day, and haven't been able to get myself to go again since then.

Well there you go, some useless information about me to still your curiousity :)

Now back to the books...

December

Today it is beautiful outside, and I've decided to stay home and skip classes because I have so much to read for the upcoming essay, that needs to be handed in in a week, and there are so many things happening these last days before we leave. I'm a bit nervous whether I'll be able to make it all.

Although I've already decorated and cheatstarted Christmas early this year, I have a few things I would like for next year: A Wreath to hang on the door, and a Christmas star to hang in the kitchen window (maybe the white one from IKEA).

I've also tried to call the Binfield Surgery to get a doctor's appointment to get a vaccine. So far I've just been placed on hold in a never ending cue so I haven't gotten one yet, which is not good since you're supposed to get it at least 2 weeks before you leave. But I didn't know about it until this weekend. I will try calling them again later.

P.S. It's Anna's birthday today! Happy Birthday to YOOOOUUUU!
