wishlist

Birthday is coming up in about a week...

Wellies. I like these from Hunter in aubergine.

A DSLR camera wouldn't hurt either :)

And then I'd really like to get a smartphone, but i can't decide whether I want an iPhone or a Blackberry. But I need something that I can blog, check and wirte email and surf the web on.

And a pair of headphones for my iPod. i ened some better sound quality than the earphones that came with the iPod.

At work

I'm at work and just realise that I can blog from here during my lunch break. I can't believe it's already Friday. This week has passed so quickly which is both good and bad.
Good because then I can get some time off and let my head rest for a couple of hours.
Bad because it means that it's not long until my essays are due and exams are coming.

Oh and I just realised my birthday isn't so far away, the most boring birthday ever I believe, since I'll be having 3 revision sessions that day from 11am to 6pm. Horrible!

I am worship leading again tomorrow and I don't think I have any singers yet so that will be interesting.

So that was a boring post for you... :)

a puppy

I've been procrastinating and did a puppy test which told me that a Bernese Mountain dog or an Anatolian Shepherd dog would be a good fit for me, I can't wait to get a house so we can add one of these cuties to our family.

sowing

Andreas has been working outside all day yesterday and today. Hopefully we'll have a good summer so that we will have a chance to taste some of these things.
We are growing: Carrots, potatoes, salad onions, yellow onions, tomatoes, cucumber, rhubarb, basil, persil, dill, cherry tomatoes, and leek. hehe We'll see how much of it actually turns out nicely but I think Andreas likes digging and sowing so if nothing else we had a good time =).

It is not exactly cheap, and it is a lot of hard work, but I'm sure they'll taste much better than the ones in the store.

happy easter

Andreas is outside digging up the garden. We are hoping to have our own potatoes, onions and herbs this year. It is probably a good thing because then he will have something to do on Sundays when he would usually get restless.

Moor Close Nights went well I think. I was a bit nervous and got a few surprises right before we started so we had to change the programme. But I think things ran smoothly. However, it is exhausting. We don't have time to eat supper and you don't drink enough water either. We were on our feet for about 6h in a row and so when I got home I stooped straight into bed.

Now I'm suppose to be studying... I really have no motivation any more.

welcome to a new little cousin

Johann and Monica had their baby yesterday at 19.28. She was a big baby. Congratulations!
I can't wait to see her.

happy easter

Oh and yesterday was fun. I am so happy about my new job. The people there are great.
It is still hard to imagine going to the same place everyday for the next couple of years but I guess I'll get used to that thought. Now I need to study a bit and maybe help Andreas cleaning the house. Hope you'll all have a great Easter!

fun day at work

My job is essentially about golf - a sport I know nothing about. So today they took me and the other new employee (he will be representing Sweden)to Mizuno's national fitting centre. First I got to try some different irons and the driver on the range and afterwards they showed us how custom fitting is done. Actually kind of fun and I always thought of golf as very boring.

Afterwards our teamleader took us out for lunch at the local pub, so yes, a good day at work indeed. I'm really enjoying it, my colleagues are so friendly and helpful.

Now I need to start memorising some of the ratios and appraisal techniques for Financial Management. Yeay for studying and full time work!

crap

The wall shelf in our bedroom fell down this morning and some of the things on it must have fallen on my laptop which was on my nightstand because the screen looked like this when I started it up this evening:

CRAP!!!
I'm pretty sure that's not covered by the warranty... wonder if it will be worth repairing.

I really loved my computer... :(

our day in london

Just had a painful underarm wax treatment. It hurts a bit now... the skin is all red. How am I suppose to not use deodorant tomorrow at work?

We went into London last Sunday with Christin and Martin and met up with Ingrid in there. Walked from National History Museum to Buckingham to Trafalgar Square to Big Ben and back. The good thing about Sundays is that parking is free. It was a nice day compared to some of the awful days we've had lately.

The new job is going well. Really nice co-workers. Very relaxed atmosphere. I'm really happy with it, but it is extremely hard for my brain to understand that from now on there will be no more "student" routines - meaning no routines - and for a flegmatic like me that is hard to process. But I guess I will get use to the 9-5 life eventually.

Now I need to put all my notes and articles from the course into folders so that I will be able to find what I need when I start revising for the exams.

Afternoon Tea in Streatley on Thames

Yesterday was really nice. We went to Streatley and took a walk along the Thames before going to the Swan and having a proper English Afternoon Tea. I've never tried it before so I was very excited. It was very filling and that clotted cream is like a seal in your stomach.

Afterwards we watched a movie and went to bed at a quite decent time (for us) so that we would be ready to go to London today. We'll probably stop by the Science and Natural history museum.

guests have arrived

Just picked up Christin (Andreas' sister) and her husband Martin from Gatwick airport and are now ready for bed. Christin is very pregnant and it's so cosy for some reason to know that there's a little person inside her whom I can't wait to meet.

We finally washed all the new pots from IKEA and put the frame up on the wall.
Sorry about the picture quality, it is not so good because I took it with the camera in the laptop but I didn't want to go get my camera and the wire.

new moon

I watched New Moon this evening... kind of disappointing I have to say. Very bad acting and horrible story. However, I just kept thinking of Anna the whole way through. I think they look so much the same.

But Anna is prettier!

What do you think? Do they not look totally alike?
