When difficulties come
we need to remember
that these are not about you.
In war, when a soldier is shot at,
the soldier doesn't ask,
'What did I do or say to deserve that?'
In spiritual warfare
being on the firing line
comes with the territory.

my new hairstyle
I realised I never posted pictures of my hair. It was expensive but she was so good.
Right after it was done I had to hurry since we were leaving for Falkenberg right after, so I didn't have time to take a picture until we had a stop on the road. So here it is, me in a bathroom on a gas station along the E4:

Unfortunately I slept and ran through rain so the styling isn't what it was, but you can see the colour.
Now I need to dive back into my books. It is now less than 2 weeks until the Project is due, and I really need to hurry up!

He's back!
It's strange how important touch, relationships and closeness is to me. I almost feel like a different person today. I'm so happy that he is back - all giddy.
He had a little souvenir with him for me, a dalahäst that I saw last time we were at the airport and wanted to get just to have a little reminder of what we are trying to work towards: We are hoping to move back to Sweden in 2-3 years.

I can't wait to get home and see him again.

a bit lonely
It is a bit sad to come home to an (almost) empty house. (I do have Misse).
Especially when you are coming home to homework. I usually don't mind being lonely, but that is when I can spend my time on what I want to do. Now I feel almost paralysed by constant feelings of guilt; "shoulds" if I can call it that... I should write my project!
So I sit here with my laptop in my knee and try to focus, try to make a plan that sounds reasonable and doable, and I realise more and more that perhaps I have jumped into the deep end. Both in regards to my choice of topic but also in regards to my optimistic time management - or more correctly put lack of time management. I have no idea how I am supposed to finish this in 3 weeks. Especially because I'm still waiting for my subjects/survey participants to answer.
But panicking won't help, if anything I should have learnt that over these past 5 years of studying. And if everything else fails, I will still pass my Masters even with a 0% on my project. So I'll just keep going, and look forward to Andreas coming home to me.
I miss you baby.

blogcation
The blog will be on vacation now for the next month. I have my project that needs to be finished in the next 3 weeks and then we are off yo Tunisia. I promise to keep you more updated after that.
To summarise I've had some hectic but wonderful days in Sweden. We visited Linköping, Göteborg, Örebro, Stockholm, Falkenberg and Andreas even made it to Rimbo and Norrtälje. So nice to see some old faces and a new one as well (Isac).

I already miss Sweden a lot, but now it's back to work and studies.

Shutter Island and Inception
Recommend them both if you like mental games with a twist. A lot of psychological and philosophical ideas mixed in makes you reconsider your ideas about sanity, time, consciousness and so on. Very fascinating.
1 year together
We drove to all the significant places of our wedding day: the church, our venue, the place where we had our photo shoot with Karin, and we even got 2 pieces of our wedding cake from the same bakery. A day saturated by the strong emotions we experienced on our wedding day.
I love you Andreas!

Corinne&Friends
I'm so happy! I can't wait to go to the hairdresser in a week. This might sound ridiculous to some but I haven't had a "proper" hair stylist cut my hair EVER! I've always gone for the cheaper options, just the edges, no "new" hairstyle no nice updo when the cutting was over. I booked Lina (who's also a red head)

So now I've booked an appointment with Corinne&Friends in Stockholm for Friday next week, and I am browsing the web like crazy for hairstyles I like.
So far it is mostly Sienna Miller and Rachel McAdams that have given me inspiration. Anyone out there has any more suggestions?

(I like the honey toned colour)

pheww
It is SOO warm in the office today. Our aircon is out and I feel like I'm breathing in air that someone else has already had in and out of their lungs a 100 times...
I need oxygen!
And just for cheesy sake of it:

Chinese for lunch
YUM! We ordered Chinese takeaway for lunch and it was so yummy. haven't had Chinese in probably a year at least, since Andreas doesn't eat meat we often end up with either Indian, Fish and Chips, or pizza when we order food.
I had a chicken sweet and sour with plain rice.

For some reason it made me want to go travelling again soon.
So now I've listed a couple of palces we have open invitations to, that I'd love to go as soon as possible:
1. Hawaii - IDA!!! (have to!)
2. India - Prakash (food)
3. South Africa - Martin (elephants and wine)
4. Road Trip in the US - Heather, Alise, Tatiana, Danielle, Brienna...we will pester you all
5. China - Jonna (The Great Wall and chopsticks)
So much fun to do, so many great friends, so little money, so little time...

tennis time
I need to move more and stop eating sugar! That will be my goal for the next 2 weeks, since we are going on holiday to Sweden soon and I have anything but a bikini body, not that I've ever had one, but one can at least try... :)
So now we are off to play a bit of tennis. Inspired by the events in Båstad.
We'll see how that goes!

Tunisia how I long for you
I'm sitting with my laptop and Misse in my knee and half researching for my project half dreaming about Tunisia and the day it will all be over.
